David Michael Bautista Jr is an American actor, retired professional wrestler, former mixed martial artist and bodybuilder. As a professional wrestler, he is known for his time in WWE from 2002-2010, 2014 and the final in 2018-2019. In addition to a professional wrestling career, he is also known for his acting career, especially the role of Drax the Destroyer in a number of Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Bautista started his wrestling career in 1999, and in 2000, he signed with the World Wrestling Federation at that time. From 2002 to 2010, he became known as Batista and became a six-time world champion, winning the world heavyweight championship four times and winning the WWE title twice. His first dynasty with the world heavyweight championship was the longest dynasty for that title with 282 days. He has also hosted the World Tag Team championship three times and once won the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Batista, or just Batista, is the longest-reigning WWE Wrestling Champion, having won the title six times during his career. In the 2014 Marvel blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy, he played Drax the Destroyer.
